For Draft #4 NIMICH / NOTHINGNESS, we’ll take Lucretius’ Nil posse creari de nilo (nothing can be created of nothing) literally, and encourage you to ponder on nothingness however you see fit. To explore the yet unwritten digital memory on your devices, create works on the idea of nothingness, zeroes turning to ones, decoding towards Zero or beyond it. ‘Nothing’ as both void and empty space of possibility, as telos of B/being, as the voids that line our very eXistenZ, as the vermicular intrusions constantly de/re/forming new voids. To paraphrase Badiou, even if Parmenides’ non-being isn’t, the word non-being is. We welcome original texts (in the widest understanding of the word), as well as photo, video, audio or mixed-media submissions. (Looking forward to receiving a lot of empty emails.)
